Yet Another Example of Liberals and Racing

We all know the ongoing struggles here in the Northwest in getting an expansion plan for Pacific Raceways approved. The hurdles keep getting higher. But it’s not just drag racing they have learned to despise, it’s racing in general.

Here’s a recent article regarding NASCAR, and how they love the fact the General Lee won’t be a pace-car and why they are celebrating. Enjoy some of the comments:

What a griffin joke, Nascar and NHRA both need to buy a clue! How about Jimmy Johnson and his crew chief whom blatantly keeps cheating, should be suspended for the whole season in my opinion? He has been caught cheating for major infractions at least 3-4 times over the last 4-5 seasons but yet he hasn’t been suspended for very long. Jerry Eckman was banished from NHRA and I don’t think they ever truly caught him doing actually cheating.

I think many Americans are becoming far too sensitive these days!

I served with many young men who came from the South and they certainly weren’t all rednecks or racists

The Dukes of Hazzard show was rather stupid but enjoyed by many of us from 1979-1985. It was just slap-stick entertainment, and nothing else!

The General Lee is part of american automotive history. People need to worry about the things that are causing this country to implode not a silly car from a goofy tv show. NASCAR roots come from the moonshine days what are they worried about?
