Saturday May 10th was our first race at Pacific Raceways<\/em> for 2025<\/span><\/span><\/span>. To say it was a day full of emotions would be an understatement. First run off the trailer we ran 10.167@128.46 which was much quicker than expected. It only got quicker from there. We double entered to get data and went 10.156-10.127-10.127 back-to-back. We were ready for first round!<\/strong><\/p>\n

I got paired up with the always tuff and nicest guy in the world Gary Ensrud<\/span><\/span><\/span> first round. We left together and did our thing at the finish line getting the win. Then all hell broke loose, and I see Gary sideways into the wall in my rear-view mirror. All I could think about was fuck I got to get to him!<\/strong><\/p>\n

I take the first turn-out, fly up return road and jump the wall, land flat on my back. Instant pain. Get up Gary is getting out of car and safety team is on top off the scene. They are taking care of business like the pros they are. Check Gary out and me. I’m so thankful Gary didn’t get hurt, he took a big hit.<\/strong><\/p>\n

I get back to the pits and I’m hurt but still in on both sides thinking to myself I can still drive I’m good. That’s when my crew chief Paul <\/span><\/span>Young<\/span><\/span><\/span> says load the car we aren’t tempting fate anymore today. So, we went home. Car ran amazing and the rebuilt trans from Rett Bertellotti<\/span><\/span><\/span> works flawlessly. I’m super glad that God kept Gary safe through all this and Gary had the needed skills to not clip me going bye. It was close. We will race another day. Until next time….
