It was a great night for me making it to the 4th round before I went to sleep on the tree ending what was a wonderful night for myself, my dedicated crew and the ’57. This was our first time back out with the ’57 since breaking our old 5-speed at the Wild West Nostalgia Race<\/em><\/a>. My profound thanks to Liberty’s Gears<\/em><\/a> for providing the new gears to make it possible!<\/strong><\/p>\n

In the 2nd round I cut my FIRST perfect reaction time which I needed to get around the always tough, Dustin Ward. The margin of victory was only 0.0019 seconds at the stripe! We were scrambling a bit with our dial-ins tonight because as the temperature and humidity were improving, the water grains were rapidly increasing putting us in unchartered data for the ’57. Chris did a great job!<\/strong><\/p>\n

Going back to the Hoosier<\/em> slicks made a BIG<\/em> improvement for us this year! We averaged a 1.448 60-foot time throughout the year on hot tracks! And the excellent track prep by the crew at Pacific Raceways<\/em> is greatly appreciated.\u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n

These are the last passes for our old reliable 331 which we originally put together in 1993. Next year we’ll have our new 350<\/a> in the old buggy! \u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n

And a shout out to Jim Doyle, Anthony Hutchison and Mike Gardner<\/em> who gave all of us some fantastic shots during the 2014 race season! A great job by professional photographers and I’ve posted just a small sample\u00a0of the shots they took this evening below!<\/strong><\/p>\n
