And make this board member easily accessible to the membership via an e-mail link, dedicated phone number, mailing address, etc. I would also recommend that NHRA\u00a0dedicate a page on their site for this elected representative to post updates, proposals, etc.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p style=\"padding-left: 30px;\"><strong>Voting would be limited to those current paid NHRA Sportsman members and be for a 3-year term. &#8211; <em>Edwards &amp; Young Racing &#8211; <\/em>[Submitted to NHRA on 25 Jan 2011]<\/strong><\/p>\n<p style=\"padding-left: 30px;\"><strong><a href=\"http:\/\/competitionplus.com\/drag-racing\/feedback\/16380-feedback-friday---letter-questions-nhra-tax-status\">FEEDBACK FRIDAY \u2013 LETTER QUESTIONS NHRA TAX<\/a> STATUS &#8211; <em>CompetitionPlus.com<\/em> &#8211; 29 Jan &#8211; 2011<\/strong><\/p>\n<p style=\"padding-left: 30px;\"><strong><a href=\"http:\/\/northwestvets.com\/nhra_articles_of_incorporation.pdf \">1951 NHRA articles of incorporation,\u00a02005 amended articles of incorporation &amp; 2009 annual report\u00a0<\/a>&#8211; <em>Edwards &amp; Young<\/em> &#8211; 2 Feb 2011<\/strong><\/p>\n<p style=\"padding-left: 30px;\">\u00a0<strong>The original articles of incorporation which were in effect until amended in 2005 stated in part: [emphasis ours]<\/strong><\/p>\n<p style=\"padding-left: 30px;\"><strong><em>&#8220;&#8230;That the specific and primary purpose for which said corporation is organized are as follows:<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n<p style=\"padding-left: 30px;\"><strong><em>&#8220;To promote safety, sportsmanship and fellowship among hot rod enthusiasts through the organization of clubs and associations which will encourage a <span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\">mutual exchange of beneficial views<\/span> and sponsor educational and safety programs to the end that the hot rod sport will be better regulated and will be conducted on higher standards, resulting in its more favorable acceptance by the press and public and in greater benefits to its active participants&#8230;&#8221;<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n<p style=\"padding-left: 30px;\"><strong>That entire clause of <em>&#8220;mutual exhange of beneficial views&#8221;<\/em> was removed in\u00a0the 2005 amended articles of incorporation.
