Super Shifters Race!"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><strong>We took our <em>Handan Trailer Repair<\/em> backed &#8217;57 with Chris behind the wheel to the <em>B.C. Super Shifters<\/em> race at <em>Pacific Raceways<\/em> on August 21st and 22nd.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>On Saturday&#8217;s race he won a close 1st round vs the sweet &#8217;62 Chev of Johnny Riv with a rare 409-based engine under the hood, it was very tight at the stripe! We ran a 10.660 on a 10.70 dial and Johnny ran a 10.117 on his 10.27 dial.\u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n<div class=\"lyte-wrapper\" style=\"width:560px;max-width:100%;margin:5px auto;\"><div class=\"lyMe\" id=\"WYL_UQnr8VXpYx8\"><div id=\"lyte_UQnr8VXpYx8\" data-src=\"\/\/i.ytimg.com\/vi\/UQnr8VXpYx8\/hqdefault.jpg\" class=\"pL\"><div class=\"tC\"><div class=\"tT\"><\/div><\/div><div class=\"play\"><\/div><div class=\"ctrl\"><div class=\"Lctrl\"><\/div><div class=\"Rctrl\"><\/div><\/div><\/div><noscript><a href=\"https:\/\/youtu.be\/UQnr8VXpYx8\" rel=\"nofollow\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/i.ytimg.com\/vi\/UQnr8VXpYx8\/0.jpg\" alt=\"YouTube video thumbnail\" width=\"560\" height=\"295\" \/><br \/>Watch this video on YouTube<\/a><\/noscript><\/div><\/div><div class=\"lL\" style=\"max-width:100%;width:560px;margin:5px auto;\"><\/div><\/p>\n<p><strong> We went out in the 2nd round to the hard-charging 8-second Nova of Pat Byron when he laid a .000 perfect light on us! Pat went on to win on Saturday with Rich Graves in his El Camino taking runner-up. So it was on to the race on Sunday!! Chris was gaining experience in the car with each hit excited to go further on Sunday and he delivered.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>On Sunday&#8217;s\u00a0 race he set a personal best in the &#8217;57 recording a 10.61 in the 1st round with a .016 light to take the win! And my thanks to Pam for keeping me going and taking all the video for us to record this event. And our thanks once again to the crew at <em>Pacific Raceways<\/em> that gave us a safe and quick track! We need to lower our clutch pressure for such a tight track to keep Chris on the ground but we ran out of adjustment this weekend! We have more work to do this winter, but we were delighted to see our face-plated <em>Doug-Nash<\/em> 5-speed go the distance this year!<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>With his win on Sunday, Chris placed 5th in the points for the USA <em>Super Shifter<\/em> races this year!!<\/strong><\/p>\n<p style=\"padding-left: 40px;\"><strong>Top 10 finishers in the <em>McLeod Super Shifter<\/em> series USA in 2021 by Jamie Roth:<\/strong><\/p>\n<p style=\"padding-left: 80px;\"><strong>1.
