“…’This is a point in case of bureaucracy…or rather, a classic example of a bureaucrat running amok.  In spite of VA policy, the cemetery director is making up her own rules and has imposed hurtful, unilateral restrictions of her own choosing,’ said Richard L. Eubank, the national commander of the 2.1 million-member Veterans of Foreign Wars of the U.S. and its Auxiliaries…”

I’m glad to see that the VFW and American Legion have engaged on this topic. What is unclear to me at this time, if this is an isolated requirement at Houston National Cemetery or the policy of VA? Was it a trial balloon?

IF this is NOT VA policy, why wasn’t this women terminated immediately by VA Secretary Shinseki? As of today, 1 Jul 11, there is no news release from the Secretary on this subject!

This situation in Houston is despicable at best.
I also agree with the question of, “Why has the VA not responded yet?” Its not like this just started. Based on the current information this policy has been in place for a while now.
My best suggestion is to orderly refuse to cooperate and do what one feels is right. If the families want God, and Jesus mentioned do it. Refuse to allow review of prayers. what can they do take you to court? Great then they can justify their position in court.
I wonder if this is not a set up by the current administration to see how far they can go to get away with something like this. One would think Sec Shinseky would be all over this by now. But then we have seen numerous examples of politics over-ruling principle far to often.
This whole situation is very, very sad and down right incomprehensible.

    GOD BLESS AMERICA
    Chuck

Sorry, I ain’t gonna be nice about this bitch. Hang her treasonous ass by the neck until dead. She may piss on the graves of the “World’s Greatest Generation” who by the way turned their backs on the Korean and Vietnam Vet but she ain’t gonna get away with her atheists beliefs and piss down the back of this Cav Trooper and tell me its rain.

Go to hell you dumb broad
