EDITORIAL: The jihad at home – The Washington Times – 3 Jun 09
“It’s a sad day in America when the shooting of an abortion doctor stops the presses but no one notices two soldiers gunned down by an Islamist…”
Newsletter comment: We are disgusted that the White House and President Obama have NOT put out a press release condemning this attack on our recruiters. Perhaps the timing was not right for issuing such a statement prior to his trip to Saudi Arabia & Egypt? If that is the case, I guess world politics are more important than those who serve in our military…

Mr. President:
You had no problem addressing the murder of Dr. Tiller in a public address. The murder of Dr. Tiller was a shameful act.
Likewise, the attack on our military recruiters by a radical Islamic domestic terrorist was equally tragic.
Yet you and SECDEF Gates have remained silent regarding this act of terrorism directed against our military. I find such silence by our Commander-In-Chief shameful in itself…

It seems like BO thinks the death of a Doctor who kills the unborn, as late as the last week of pregnancies, is more important than the death of a Soldier protecting our Freedoms.
Pvt. William Long has been laid to rest, killed by a domestic act of terrorism.
Yet there is still no public response from the White House or SECDEF Gates regarding this attack on two recruiters that were targeted for wearing a uniform…
President Obama can offer eloquent speeches on D-Day, and visit Cairo and Saudi Arabia and give a speech to the Muslim world. Yet these two Army recruiters deserve no mention from their Commander-In-Chief ?
I find this absolutely shameful !!!
Today, 22 Jan 10, the accused is claiming ties to Al Qaeda. Yet the White House nor DoD ever treated this attack as an act of terrorism.
Somehow our intelligence agencies, DHS, and the White House have problems connecting the dots. That was admitted during the attempt on Christmas ’09 of bringing down a commercial airliner near Detroit.
It is difficult to connect dots when you don’t wish to acknowledge we are at war against terrorism. Until that changes in my opinion, we certainly remain at risk.
