The Legend of Lee Shepherd – Competition Plus.com – Jan 2007
Just read Bob Bennett’s proposed changes to Pro Stock. My thoughts are they should update to fuel injection. Not sure I’d be for starting entire new engine programs of less cubes adding turbo-chargers, etc.
It’s easy for those on the outside to suggest wholesale changes, but his proposals would be expensive!
Hell, the Ford guys are just now getting their big-inch engines to stay together – now scrap that engine program for another new program? How many would go broke doing so?
I just hope the teams are consulted before another wholesale change of what is currently a very exciting and competitive category!
