My friend Todd Ferguson writes:
“Dan’s friend shot this third qualifying round race with his phone. You can see the main problem was how high the front end was coming up and how far he was carrying it down the track. We believe the rear tires rather than the front tires were breaking the 60 ft beam. Need to get the weight balanced back out with the 706 motor. Still had 4 runs down the track which is great considering the car was not even all back together at 10 Friday night.”
About Roger

It is nice to get videos from our friends and fellow racers around the country! Dan’s sorting out his new engine combination and Todd has kept me informed of the progress as the upgrade has progressed. Good to see the car back on the strip!
Stay safe Dan!
Dan made many major changes to the car in the past 12 months including:
Replaced 565 iron block motor with 706 aluminum block motor.
Changed fuel pump.
Changed frame from single rail to double rail plus more reinforcements.
New transmission from Rossler.
Added second parachute.
New front and rear wheels.
New NOS Bottle holders.
Changed seat.
Changed pedal locations.
New firewall and floor pans.
Changed battery holder and location.
About the only things the same are the paint outside and the fuel cell!
Best,
Todd
Thanks Todd for filling in the blanks for us! Dan’s obviously been very busy updating his car. It has to be a handful to drive.
Stay safe!
