I’m doing some heavy contemplation about the upcoming 2016 racing season. Pam and I have spent a lot of money the past two years upgrading the old ’57. Considering the ever shorter racing schedule and the amount of runs I get per season, I have to seriously question if it is worth the hard work and expense anymore. Chris has always been there for me and works his tail off, but trying to work the ’57 into the racing schedule with all the cars on our team and helping other teams, it is getting hard to justify the expense from my perspective.
To add to all of this, on August 15th the racers were told the August 29th race was being cancelled due to a “quiet day” being mandated by the county. Only to learn today the actual quiet day is Sunday, August 30th, and the schedule was shuffled to allow a motorcycle race on Saturday in place of the scheduled drag race. At best we were told a 1/2-truth. – Roger
