June 25, 2022:
Today Chris had his ’71 Chevelle wagon at this double-header event. FINALLY we got some sunshine and a dry track at Pacific Raceways this season!
Prior to going out, Chris lightened the wheelie bar springs and put on new radial slicks on the grocery-getter, the first time we’ve used radials, and the car immediately responded with a nice run on Q1 of the morning session, recording a 10.483 @ 125.52 with a strong 102.02 MPH to the 1/8th:
It was a LONG day but with excellent results. And our thanks to Paul for helping his brother throughout the day! A great job by Chris making it to the 4th round of both races today! Below are the 4th-round time slips from both races. In the first race he broke out by .007, in the second race he lifted too soon but an EXCELLENT first race of 2022!! – Roger
