Our ’57 at Pacific Raceways on April 26th 2014

Our first outing with the ’57 for 2014 with new Hoosier slicks and our new Long 5-speed shifter. The hook was so good we need to tame the car down for this old man! We started to hit our pace on the 3rd pass when it ran a 10.88 lifting and on the brakes. Would have ran a 10.83. If I catch up with the car and hit the shift points correctly, should be running in the 10.70’s in good air.

My many thanks to my family and the track crew at Pacific Raceways for a job well done!

  1. Roger says:

Chris lowered the wheelie bars another 2-turns after the race. Today I snugged the wheelie bar springs one-turn which should help tone down the car, especially on the 1-2 shift where we are losing ET.

I also checked the valve train and all looks good after the RPMs the motor saw this past weekend. I wasn’t catching up with the shift points until the 1st round of eliminations just hanging on! 🙂 Too wild for this old geezer!
