Yemen seems to be the common connection between the Ft. Hood shootings and this failed plot. The administration and DoD seemed to work in concert to disconnect any link to terrorism from the Ft. Hood tragedy even before the Memorial service.
This administration seems to wish to downplay acts of terrorism and prosecute terrorists in civilian courts instead of military tribunals. Unless this attitude changes I fear we’ll see more tragic incidents that failed to be stopped because of the lax tone coming directly from the White House.
How much will the taxpayer need to pay to defend the ‘suspect’ in this bomb plot?
Not to mention the millions that will be spent for additional security in a civilian court when he should be tried in a military tribunal as a terrorist!
