Interview was fun to watch Roger.
Hey Handan..I’ve been looking at possibly purchasing Steve Schwabb’s Handan sponsored Stock/Super stock Camaro. Know anything about it Roger? It’s not fast, but I could drive it, even if I only bracket race the car. Keep having fun with your family at the “DIGS” Roger my friend. You go through those 5 gears so smoothly, are you sure you didn’t slip a clutchless 5-speed in the old 57 Sir?

  2. Roger says:

I didn’t want to get too far into the weeds on the video, but the pucks on our clutch disc are convex when new. As the pucks wear, you get more contact surface and the clutch hits harder and slips less. This is why the car runs its quickest runs when the disc is new, usually on its 2nd or 3rd hit.

Also you can to some extent adjust your reaction time with the air gap in the clutch. The more gap the slower your reaction time or quicker reaction times by closing the air gap.
