The Edwards & Young Rumor Mill

Happy New Year racers, and during this off season we see rumors circulating in NHRA and across the racing community, and here’s a couple from us!

Will we see Paul running in Pro Bracket in 2017? Is he ready to make the step to a quicker bracket with his Mustang? Or will he continue in Sportsman where he has won two track championships? What say you Paul!

Rumor is the old man is considering sharing some seat time this year with Chris in the ’57. After all the duffer is getting old (going on 68). Can the young lion convert from an automatic with an airshifter to banging gears with a 5-speed? This duffer thinks he can! 🙂  Could be interesting!

The rumor is just that a rumor. I’m not driving the 57 until your done racing. I don’t want to be laughed at by the old man….

  2. Paul says:

    Guys,

I am going to give it my best shot in Pro bracket as a good challenge for me. It also has been my lifelong goal to race against you guys so should be fun, looking forward to it.

I spoke with Chris this afternoon, he was concerned he might hurt the gearbox. Here’s the deal, on the first test & tune we take the ’57 out, I’ll put a couple of hits on the car to make certain all is well, then Chris will saddle up and make a couple hits! So Chris, aka “Fat Ninja” bring your helmet, jacket and leave those soft shoes in the closet when we take the ’57 out in early 2017!! YOU’LL DO JUST FINE SON!

  4. TK says:

It’s in the blood Chris. You’ll take right to the 5-speed, just like Roger did for all these years. Have fun, that’s the first goal RIGHT!

  5. Roger Young says:

With the early test & tunes being rained out, I’m not sure when we’ll get Chris in the ’57. Best laid plans…

  6. Roger Young says:

On April 15th 2017 we FINALLY were able to get Chris in the ’57 and he did very well. Proud Papa here! Details, video and pics are available on our April 15th update!
