’57 at Pacific Raceways on April 22, 2018

My thanks and love to Chris Young, Paul Young & Pam Young for all your love and support. New ’57 record today off the trailer, we’re starting to get a handle on our new Ram clutch. We will need to reduce the static pressure back down to 920 lbs. prior to the B.C. Super Shifters race in June, as the clutch is still a tad aggressive when you get some heat in it on the starting line.

Next out will be Chris in his Chevelle to have more fun! – Roger

Congratulations Roger, Chris and Paul!!! Super run and sounds like you guys are headed to a blast of a year…

  2. Roger says:

We’re enjoying learning about the new clutch setup. We’re always learning and trying different things which is what I love about racing. If you quit learning, it will rapidly become boring, and I’ve never been bored racing in all my years of doing it!

Our checklist which most I accomplished on April 25:

      1) Check valve lash, inspect valve train [done]
      2) Check shifter adjustment, oil shifter linkage. [done]
      3) Lower clutch pressure from 980 to 920 pounds. [Completed 4/28/2018]
      4) Lower clutch rod one hole in bellcrank, lengthen clutch rod 2-turns to give more release. [done]
      5) Raise wheelie bars ½ turn [done]
