July 11th & 12th at Pacific Raceways

July 11th and 12th, we took the Wagon out to Pacific Raceways for the Pacific Northwest Drag Racing Association bracket series. The weather was amazing and so was the track prep.

We had a bracket race Saturday during the day and went 4 rounds before bowing out of competition.  After that, we started the Big Buck bracket race and that ended quickly when Mike Sumner strapped an .018 pack on me the first round of competition.

Sunday was a new day and things went well. We lost in the 6th round of competition against the always tough Brian McGinnis by .0011 at the stripe. I wasn’t even upset.  Good news after missing tw0 races to help Joe on the Comp car and falling from 6th in the points to 35th, we are back up to 15th in the points with the highest point total of anyone missing races.

The car is working absolutely flawlessly and I’m driving respectively well. If you have not been out to the new bracket format run by the PNWDRA, you are missing out. They have a cruise on Saturday night and a live band. The races are run efficiently, and the vibe is like the old days at the track! I would encourage everyone to check it out!

As always, I would like to thank my family and friends for their continued support, especially Paul Young and Rett Bertellotti. Without them helping keep me motivated and their help, I wouldn’t be doing this. Until next time burnouts and wheelies!  – Chris.
