Chevelle Test & Tune, Pacific Raceways, April 12th 2014

This day we had Chris’ Chevelle out for testing, our first hits of 2014. We worked with slick pressue with his new M/T slicks, carb spacers, ignition timing and are ready to go for 2014! We’ll lower the wheelie bars slightly for our next outing which should pick up the car a tick. – Roger

Driver of our '57 Chev from 1972-2019, Vietnam veteran (A Troop, 3/17th Air Cavalry Scout helicopter Line Chief and later Cobra Periodic Inspection team leader), retired ASE rated automotive mechanic. Roger became involved in drag racing during his high school days and after his stint in the Army ran E & F/MP [Modified Production] here in Division 6 before switching to bracket racing when the '57 became obsolete for class racing. He often raced at Puyallup, Kent-Pacific Raceways, Bremerton, Portland & the original Mission, B.C. track.

    A good day at the track, and it was great to see we have the transmission problems resolved to start the 2014 season!

    My thanks to Paul Young & Ji Jung for giving Chris a big hand on the starting line, letting me just observe and help out in the pits. I enjoyed my time out at the track and chatting with the team, fellow racers and Torri & Peyten!
