After September 2026, I will no longer be hosting our entire website. This includes military news, the Silver Spur sites, nor our racing pages. After 27-years it will be time to close it all down. Be well. – Roger

Congrats on the strong performance and great video of it all!
Pam does a very good job with the video!
Tough when that light gets turned red, but it happens to the best. I have seen it!
You guys and Tori will get em next time for sure.
I’m happy the ’57 is running well with the new PacAloy valve springs, but got to figure out NOT to redlight in the first round!
Are you running any box…or just your reaction. I assume the latter…
Todd, none of our cars have a box. With the ’57 it is my left leg letting the clutch fly.
Chris ran a box when the Chevelle in Super Pro, but that was a few years back.
Probably just comes down to practice and seat time then assuming the car is consistent in moving the power from the motor thru the drivetrain and to the track. But it is kind of like golf, even if you are very good you are still facing changing conditions of Mother Nature .
Dan told his mom that he was not that comfortable at the PDRA Michigan race because he had not been down the track in a month. In part because the Asphalt Wars race in between the PDRA races was rained out in mid June. He just needed more seat time.
That is probably one of the down sides of his car is it is not easy to find a properly prepped track to test and tune it on. And if you do it can be expensive. PDRA pre race testing is $400 on Thursdays. And he usually only gets 3-4 runs if he does do it. That is why it is often a better and cheaper deal to run a Quick 8 race and use that for some seat time and testing and tuning. He didn’t test in Maryland as he figures he can get a decent idea of what the car is doing in qualifying, which is normally 4 runs. Three on Friday and one Saturday prior to eliminations starting. That one he usually sets the car up for repeat mode of bracket racing if he is comfortably qualified already. That is what happened in Maryland.
If he had the money he would probably test before each race, but that isn’t always an option. So, you just do the best you can. He has managed to,qualify for every PDRA race, but it has come down to,the last qualifier a time or two.
Good luck at your next race guys and Tori…
Seat time is not something I get a lot of these days!
I understand completely…
A lot of my seat time is in Waldo’s Van…
At the end of this 2015 season I’ll be doing very few updates. It is clear that the rest of the “team” has little interest in our website – they do everything on FB which disappears quickly – so why beat a dead horse? And finding places on our short but very busy schedule to get the ’57 out is getting tougher each year. My interesting is waning fast. This will free up Paul & Chris to race and help who they please…
