June 25th & 26th Race Recap

Hello Race Fans!

It was an action packed weekend at Pacific Raceways once again as we had a night race on Saturday and day race Sunday. It was a great turnout as people were still coming through the gates 2 hours after they opened.

Chris did a great job this weekend as his car ran really good performance wise and he was cutting some great lights. He made it to the 2nd rd Saturday and 3rd rd Sunday, would you believe that the margin for those races combined was only .01 seconds? That is some extremely tight racing!

Torri drove her car on Saturday and did a really good job too as during qualifying she had a best rt of .042 on her 2nd pass. She ran 12.15 in the 1st rd but unfortunately that evil red bulb came on which we all sure don’t like.

Big thanks to Torri and Chris I was able to race her car on Sunday and I had a blast like always! I made it to the finals against Kenny O’Keefe but he got me again as he took the stripe by .008 in a double breakout race. He has won 3 races in a row with his new car, way to go Kenny.

We have a Nostalgia race coming up on Sunday July 10th that we are all excited about as Dad will be back out kicking butt in his 57 and Torri will be racing her 66 Pontiac Tempest, we all can’t wait.

Hope to see you all out at the PLACE TO RACE Pacific Raceways!Paul Young

  1. Roger Young says:

We’re glad to see the Chevelle running well after reinstalling our original Motown intake. Gear the car back down from 4.71’s to 4.86’s over the winter and it will be running 10.40’s again.
