Chris Wins No-Box Race at Champion!

And the winner is!

And the winner is!

This past weekend, Barry Hobson & Chris traveled south to Medford, Oregon to race in the Street Outlaw featured event at Champion Raceway on September 4th.

Barry was racing his Grand Am in the Big-Tire Shootout, and Chris his Chevelle in the No-Box bracket race. All races this weekend were 1/8th mile only.

It took six rounds of racing, but Chris captured the win on Sunday evening, putting himself and his Chevelle in the Winner’s Circle! After the race Chris stated, “The car has been sooooooo good this year, have had multiple .001 to .002 break-outs this year and knew it was close. I’m just glad we got it done finally!”

In the first round of the Big Tire Shootout, Barry got off the starting line first against Doc but at approximately 300-feet rattled the tires hard forcing Barry to lift.

My thanks to Paul & Barry for helping Chris at Medford! – Roger
