In July 2018 we injured the motor in our ’57. The future of our old car will be a family decision. Here’s a video recapping the 46-year history of our racing the shoebox:
Update:
Pam and I have decided to move forward on a new engine for 2019 working with Dale Green. We’ll provide all the details as the build progresses here. – Roger
Robert Fedyk of Reaction Time Media put this awesome video together at the B.C. Super Shifters race on Saturday, June 13th 2015 at Pacific Raceways. Ride along with us in our old buggy! Thanks Robert for the OUTSTANDING job and it was an honor having you feature us! – Roger

Hope we get her back together. She is a fickle bitch, but when you and her are one its magic to watch.
My guess is that the 57′ like its driver…are not ready for retirement just yet. Gotta tell ya…that 331 you used to run sound absolutely beautiful. I am sure you and family can create another such engine. Good Luck…C U at the track..
The 331 was VERY reliable and took a LOT of punishment. The old short block is still together but the piston to wall clearance is excessive and we can no longer get the .031 pressure back rings, plus the old crankshaft is older than dirt! 🙂
