Getting Ready for the Division 6 Summit E.T. Finals

With Paul winning the Sportsman Track Championship at Pacific Raceways for 2011, the Edwards & Young team has been kickin’ around if Paul would go to the Summit E.T. Finals from September 1 – 4 at Firebird Raceways in Boise, Idaho.

After some debate, Paul has elected to attend the race and this past weekend Chris and I put the higher altitude tune-up in Torri’s ’66 Pontiac Tempest. In short, Paul’s going and will be part of the Pacific Raceway’s team!!!

It will be a new challenge for Edwards & Young, never racing at Boise, but we feel confident in our tune-up to minimize the effects of racing at the higher altitude track.

Stay tuned as we will cover Paul’s progress as the event unfolds!

  1. Roger Young says:

The team is pumped and Chris will be going with Paul as our very capable crew chief to handle any unexpected events at the higher altitude (2730 feet) track.

Kirk and Barry Hobson will also be lending a hand and towing the rig to Firebird.

We’re looking forward to this new challenge and know Paul and Chris will have a great experience at our very first E.T. finals!!

  2. CHRIS YOUNG says:

WE ARE EXCITED TO SEE WHAT THE OLD GIRL WITH THE YOUNG GUN WILL BE ABLE TO DO AGAINST THE BEST OF DIVISION SIX IN THE RACE OF CHAMPIONS! GOSH THAT CHAMPION PART HAS A NICE RING TO IT!!!!!

    • Roger Young says:

Chris, I hope your “old girl” comment is talking about the Pontiac and NOT Torri? 🙂

I hope you and Paul have a wonderful time and enjoy the experience. Pam and I are very proud of both of you, what you have both accomplished, and the good sportsmanship you show when at the track!

  3. CHRIS YOUNG says:

DEFINATELY THE CAR AND NOT THE WIFE, I ALREADY GET MYSELF IN ENOUGH HOT WATER! 🙂 THEY ARE BOTH TOUGH TO DEAL WITH AT TIMES THOUGH! HA HA
