About Roger Young

Roger "Bear" Young served with the Silver Spurs as a Scout crew chief and Line Chief from Dec '69 through Nov '70. Upon his return to the "world" he served at Hunter AAF as a Cobra Periodic Inspection team leader. He founded the Spur website in Sept 1997.

    Great photos Scotty! If Roger can put up with us we all ought to post our photos!
    I have some good shots of you an PB when we did the “Chinese Fire Drill” in Hong Kong if I can find them!

      Mike,

      Scotty shared some great pictures with all of us, but with the current music copyright policy of YouTube -- even though I paid for all the music used -- it is becoming a sticking point to produce more Spur videos. Google took over YouTube and they are no longer satisfied with running ads when you embed music, they require you to view the video on their server.

    Mike Billow has informed us that the twin-engine Huey in Scott’s photos at Quan Loi was a N-model that belonged to the USAF. I had never seen one while in Nam until seeing Scott’s photos.
