After September 2026, I will no longer be hosting our entire website. This includes military news, the Silver Spur sites, nor our racing pages. After 29-years it will be time to close it all down. Be well. – Roger ‘Bear’ Young, Spur webmaster

Good ‘ole 37! Very nice. A quick anecdote about that day: Morton Dean the CBS reporter stayed the afternoon and after his work on the story and A Troop getting Marve Swinford back from being shot up, Quan Loi was hit by mortars. It scared the sh** out of Morton! A normal 5:30 pm for the rest of us! He and his camera man took off running for the closest bunker. Unfortunately it was a bunker that was half full of water and rats that we never used. As Morton dove into it he hit his head on the opening cross beam and got knocked out! We all had a good chuckle over that….
I had the pleasure of partnering with the Silver Spurs on many missions, as a Blue Max snake driver. Thanks for the memories. Our adventures together remain memorable.
Great job guys. Thanks for sharing. Brings back lots of memories good and bad. This was done before my arrival.
Roger -- thanks for posting this.
