Spur OH-58, “Trip Ate”

My name is Pat Rodgers, and I am the Director at Wings and Rotors Air Museum, at French Valley Airport, CA.  I own an OH-58 that we are restoring as 68-16888, “Trip Ate”.  Enclosed are some photos of the restoration.  The aircraft should be flyable by the end of this year.

About Roger Young

Roger "Bear" Young served with the Silver Spurs as a Scout crew chief and Line Chief from Dec '69 through Nov '70. Upon his return to the "world" he served at Hunter AAF as a Cobra Periodic Inspection team leader. He founded the Spur website in Sept 1997.

    KIA as a result of ememy conflict September 26 1970, WO Tom Barnett.
    It does not seem like it was 41 years ago, but my friend you are still remembered

    Many missions and hours were spent flying and maintaning “Tripate” the most memberable was on Feb 15, 1971 when Capt DeCelle was shot, wounded and later died. My heart and prayers every day include Taylor, Knuckey and Decelle
