A well written and accurate article by Garlock in my opinion. The left also didn’t blink an eye when Pol Pot exterminated millions of his fellow citizens in Cambodia. The human cost for cutting off all military aid to SVN after Nixon was predictable and tragic.

Hello Roger. With all due respect, it is conjecture that the war in VN was basically won in 1973. The disaster of Lam Son 719 demonstrated that the ARVN military was not up to the task of defeating Hanoi. In regard to the cutoff of all military aid, I offer this information debunking the cutoff myth. https://bit.ly/2E1L7bF. Also, there is no mention of the billions of dollars worth of military equipment left behind after our withdrawal. IMO, the war was miserably mishandled by our politicians and certain military leaders that resulted in the deaths of 59,000+ brave soldiers and countless veterans who were mentally and physically maimed. Continuing down that path would have been senseless. It is time to put that chapter of American history behind us.
